Our Story

Our History

For over 25 years, the Langdon Theatre Association has been a cornerstone of the Langdon community — nurturing young performers, building lifelong friendships, and proving that great theatre can happen anywhere.

1999

LTA is Founded

A small group of passionate community members came together in Langdon, Alberta with a shared vision: to give local children a creative outlet through theatre arts.

2004

First Full Production

The association staged its first full-length musical production, drawing an enthusiastic audience from across Rocky View County and cementing LTA as a community institution.

2010

Dedicated Rehearsal Space

LTA secured a dedicated rehearsal and performance space in Langdon, giving students a true home for their craft and enabling more ambitious productions.

2015

Expanded Programming

Summer camps, workshops, and after-school programs were introduced, broadening access to theatre education for children of all ages and experience levels.

2020

Adapting Through Challenges

Like many arts organizations, LTA navigated the challenges of the pandemic with creativity — offering virtual workshops and outdoor performances to keep the community connected.

2024

25 Years Strong

Celebrating 25 years of nurturing young performers, building friendships, and enriching the Langdon community through the transformative power of theatre.
